Inter-Party Advisory Council, Ogun State chapter has endorsed the second term bid of Prince Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun State, describing the petition against the governor as spurious and attempts to smear the image of the governor.
Speaking on the performances of the governor, Engr. Samsoon Okusanya, IPA State Chairman and State Chairman of People Redemption Party (PRP) said the petition signed by one Ayodele Oludiran on behalf of a civil rights group seeking the disqualification of Governor Abiodun was ill- conceived aimed at smearing the good work and the great achievements of the State Chief Executive Officer.
Engr. Okusanya spoke at a media briefing in Abeokuta yesterday along with other IPAC officers.
He said the petitioner was being used by a past governor of Ogun State to discredit Governor Abiodun in order to achieve their nefarious motives, saying the Council as a group would not allow them to succeed.
“Governor Abiodun has performed creditable. We are all witnesses to the all inclusive transformation that Prince Dapo Abiodun … has brought to Ogun State.
” W e will not allow anybody to rubbish his achievements. It’s on this basis that we have resolved to support him (Abiodun).
“We hereby endorse Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun for second term,” he said.
