
The Asiwaju of Orile-Imo in Obafemi Owode Local government of Ogun state, Cheif Olakunle Olalekan has charged youths in the state to involve actively in politics to change the political landscape of the nation.
Asiwaju made the charge when the leadership of Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria conferred the honuor of patronship and awarded him for his contributions to the society.
Olalekan stressed that young people owe the country the responsibility to deploy their energy and creativity in every field such as health, science, education, sports, agriculture amongst others.
He expressed confidence that the youths could bring up innovations that would be in tandem with the changing dynamics of the world.
Asiwaju also charged the youths to be responsive to their political responsibilities to engender developments in Nigeria.
According to him, “Youths are the leaders of today and tomorrow and there is the need for those in Nigeria to venture into politics. But before doing that, they must be engaged.
