
The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Ogun State Command has passed a vote of no confidence on it’s Commander, Prince Temitope Odogu over his abscondment from duty for over three months.
The VGN in a Press conference in Abeokuta, the state capital on Friday lamented that Odogu’s abscondment has left the Ogun VGN in state of awkwardness, making officers of the Command feel at low ebb.
According to the Command, the decision to pass vote of no confidence was taken at an emergency meeting held by the leadership of the VGN in Abeokuta, that state capital.
The command added that Odogu’s leadership failure had led to the degradation of VGN in the state, insisting that it could no longer bear the humiliation.
The letter of Vote of no confidence written by the Command read in part “We the membership of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria hereby respectfully passed a vote of no confirmation on the leadership of Commander Prince Temitope Odogu.
It continues “This acton was due to Odogu’s desertion, abscondment and negligence of duty for months, making the officers feel at a low ebb, thereby not being included and respected due to his leadership failure”.
To this end, the National leadership of the Command has norminated Mr Matthew Ajibanwo as the Acting Commander of the VGN in the state.
Speaking with Journalists, Ajibanwo disclosed that several efforts taken to call Odogu back to office proved abortive as his attitude showed that his passion for the Group had subsided.
His words “We had sent delegates to his house to know why he had decided to absconded but the responsibility he gave them was unfavourable.
“He has has yet to disclosed his reasons for not coming to the office any longer.
