LG Primary Election : Sanusi Emerges APC Councilorship Candidate

Azeez Sanusi who is the son of the caretaker chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ogun State, Chief Yemi Sanusi yesterday emerged the party flag Bearer.

Announcing the result on Tuesday in ward 10, Iporo Shodeke, Isale Igbehin, Abeokuta South Local Government the presiding officer, Mr Taiye taiwo and Mr Albert Akintoye said the election was contested by two aspirants after one aspirant, Bisiriyu Abiola stepped down before the election commenced.

It was gathered that 17 political leaders votes at the primary election which held at town hall, Shodeke, junction.

The key political leaders present are the chairmanship aspirant, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Farouq Akintunde, the ward chairman of the party, Lanre yemade, Mrs Bolanle Ikorende, Mr Adekunle Sesan, Hon Muda Odebiyi , Hon. Dada Ojukotimi Obafemi, Hon. Yinka Adegun Olayinka, Hon. Moshood Shodiya.

Azeez Sanusi polled 10 votes to defeat his close rival, Odejobi Olatunji who poled 7 votes.

Speaking with Journalist after the free, fair and credible election, Sanusi said the People of Ward should expect remarkable performance from him, adding that he was ready to move the party forward.

He promised tremendous change in Iporo-Ijeun, adding that he would not disappoint his people in the ward 10.
