Four out of the youths who participated in the just concluded free skill acquisition programme organised by All Progressive Congress Youth Wing in Abeokuta North local government have been empowered with working tools by the local government’s Ward 16 Charmanship aspirant, Hon. NIYAS.
NIYAS while speaking to newsmen said that the programme was coming at a time when the demand for employment by the youths was becoming burdensome for the government.
He noted that his gesture was to contribute his own quota towards reducing unemployment rate in the state.
The councillorship aspirant submitted that the rationale behind his kind gesture was nat political but to support in taking youths off the streets.
Niyas encouraged the participants to, without hesitation get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and other in order to participate in the coming local government and Ward election and vote in their preferred candidates.
To him, for a nation to develop, the youths of such nation must first be developed and to be useful in the society, with this, he said, the Nigeria that the youths are dreaming of shall be born.
He urged the beneficiaries not to see their acquired skills as second class but as a first class, adding that with it they would live a meaningful life in the society.
The Abeokuta North APC Youths Leader, Comrade Akinbo Oladipupo commended the coucncilorship aspirant, described him as a politician with large heart.
