
Community leaders in Ogun state have cried out to the government over poor electricity supply, demanding timely intervention.
One of them, Cheif Adeoye Adekunle, the Community Development Committee Chairman of Opeji community in Abeokuta-North of the state, decried total darkness in his community due to lack of transformer to generate power.
Adekunle who spoke to Journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital on Monday explained that some developments being witnessed in Opeji community were through the intervention of community members who were worried about the poor state of the community and not the government.
Some of the things he said members of the community had put in place without government intervention were; security outposts, rural water supply amongst others.
The Chairman, who lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun’s effort to develop the stte, appealed to the state government to extend the development project going on across the state to his community.
